About the foundation

The National Cultural Space Foundation was established by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism
to operate and manage national cultural and arts facilities, including Danginli Cultural Space,
and to create and provide cultural spatial environments
that expand the social value of culture and the arts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operation and management of Danginli Culture Creation Power Plant facilities, planning and operation of performances, exhibitions, and related programs, revenue projects, and all related businesses
  • Operation and management of national cultural and arts facilities entrusted by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, planning and operation of performances, exhibitions, and related programs, revenue projects, and all related businesses
  • Projects related to creating and supporting cultural spatial environments

The CI takes inspiration from the Korean consonants in cultural space and condenses structural connectivity into a single visual language. Its simple and intuitive form expresses architectural spatiality and reflects the foundation identity of bringing stories of culture and the arts into public spaces such as Danginli Thermal Power Plant.
